The Telectroscope

June 1, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Saw this the other weekend, great idea. Its located near Tower Bridge.

According to the man behind it, Paul St George, the Telectroscope connects London and New York via a tunnel that was started in Victorian times, built by an army of scouse labourers.

OK, he’s off his head, but the ‘tunnel’ allows you to see people in New York and, with a slight delay, you can interact with them. A wipeboard allows you to send a message or you can just wave at them, or more likely, make a rude hand signal. The website is at http://www.tiscali.co.uk/telectroscope/home.php
